Marinated chicken that you grill. You can leave the breasts whole and serve four or slice and serve 6 to 8. Marinating time is 3 to 4 hours which is not included in prep and cook time. Please prepare to marinate your chicken!

Ingredients For martooni chicken

  • 1/2 c
    chablis or other dry white wine
  • 1/2 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh cilantro, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    dry white vermouth
  • 1 Tbsp
    white wine worcestershire sauce
  • 2 clove
    garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 4
    chicken breasts, skinned and boned

How To Make martooni chicken

    Combine all the ingredients except the chicken in a medium bowl; stir well.

    Pour the mixture into an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Add the chicken, turning to coat both sides. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours.

    Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade. Grill, covered, over medium-hot coals (350 to 400 degrees F) about 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until the chicken is done, basing occasionally with the marinade.
