Ingredients For mama "g's" paella

10-12chicken pieces: breasts cut in 1/2, thighs, drumsticks & wings

1/2 coilive oil
-
1/2 lbspanish chorizo
-
1 mdonion- sliced
-
4 cloveminced garlic
-
1/2 tspspanish saffron
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1 1/2 clong grained rice, cooked

4 cchicken broth
-
1 pkgfrozen artichoke hearts or peas

1/2 lbshrimp, shelled & deveined

1dz. clams
How To Make mama "g's" paella

1Heat oil in large skillet. Quickly brown chicken, remove, set aside. Brown Chorizo in same pan, set aside, drain all but 2 TBSP. fat. Add onion, garlic, saffron & salt, cook until onion is soft. Add rice, stir lightly. Add broth - DO NOT STIR! Arrange artichoke hearts or peas, chicken, chorizo & shrimp around pan. Bring broth to a boil, place pan in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes. Steam clams until shells open. Remove paella from oven, arrange clams on top. Let paella rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.
