Make these a day before you need them. Taste better the second day. I cut down on the amount of sour cream. Just a personal taste.

  • 3 pkg
    idaho instant potatoes
  • mix as directed using boiling water
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 16 oz
    sour cream i use only 12 oz
  • 1 stick
    butter, melted
  • salt and pepper

How To Make make ahead "mashed potatoes"

    mix potatoes, cream cheese, sour cream, salt and pepper

    put in baking pan amd pour melted butter over top

    Bake 20 min covered. Uncover and bake till brown
