Ingredients For low and slow tropical chicken

  • 4 lg
    meaty pieces of chicken[i used thighs]
  • 1 can
    no sugar added mandarine oranges
  • 2/3 c
    bottled lemon juice
  • 1/2 c
    garlic flavored terriakki sauce
  • 1/2 c
    veggie oil
  • 1/4 c
    low salt soy sauce
  • 1/4 c
    slpenda
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    dried celery flakes

How To Make low and slow tropical chicken

    drain oranges pour juice in lg zip bag add all other ingredients seal bag well shade to mix good
  • 2
    add chicken pieces.... marinate at least an hr at room temp up to overnight in fridge

    pre heat oven to 300 pour chicken and marinate into 2 1/2 qt casarole bakin dish put in oven cook 45 min remove from oven turn chicken pieces over cook 30 min more remove chicken again turn over turn oven up to 325 bake 30 min more remove again and turn chicken over again baste chicken well with sauce add oranges to sides of dish[do not pout over the top of chicken] put back in oven that is now turned to 350 cook min til browned well bout 15 min
