My mother made a version of this when we were kids. It was a favorite of ours and good enough for “formal” meals. Then when I was a young mother I discovered the crockpot! I adapted her recipe for the slow cooker and did monthly “formals” so the kids could learn about fancy etiquette! This is a recipe that can be done in a slow cooker with fresh chicken in a large (LARGE) pot on a stove top, or with frozen chicken straight out of the freezer in a slow cooker. We really like it over brown or wild rice. You can also serve it over steamed spaghetti squash! Carb. 0, fat 16g, protein 40g

64 ozchicken thighs, skinless and boneless

1 1/2 cwhite wine

To tastegarlic salt

To tasteitalian seasoning

To tasteground sage

To tasteground black pepper

to thickencornflour
-
mdonion sliced
-
8 ozmushrooms sliced
How To Make loki’s french style chicken

1Put all ingredients (except the corn flour) into your slow cooker and set for 6+ hours

2Before serving, transfer any liquid into a pan and and with a sous wisk stir in just enough corn starch to thicken a little

3Pour sauce back over chicken and serve over a starch or spaghetti squash for a lower calorie dinner!
