lemon chicken and rice soup

I came up with this soup after having one similar to it at a local restaurant. I fell in love with it, and immediately had to create something that I could have at home.

Ingredients For lemon chicken and rice soup

  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 2 can
    chicken broth
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1/8 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 lb
    cooked chicken, cut up or shredded into bite sized pieces
  • 2-3
    lemons, juiced
  • 2-3 c
    cooked rice

How To Make lemon chicken and rice soup

  • 1
    Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add cream of chicken and chicken broth. Whisk to mix well. cook over medium-low heat.

    Add 1/4 of soup mixture to milk and mix well. Add milk to soup in saucepan.

    Add garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, chicken, lemon juice and rice.

    Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 15 minutes.
