This is a classic recipe my mom always used to make with left-over turkey from Thanksgiving! Can also be used with Chicken of course. Enjoy!

Ingredients For lattice topped turkey pie

  • 2 c
    chopped, cooked chicken or turkey
  • 10 oz
    pkg. frozen english peas
  • 1 c
    (4 oz) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 c
    diced celery
  • 1/2 c
    soft breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • 3 dash
    hot sauce (optional)
  • 8 oz
    can crescent dinner rolls
  • 2 tsp
    sesame seeds

How To Make lattice topped turkey pie

    Combine first 10 ingredients; Mix well. Spoon into a 12x8x2 inch baking dish.

    Separate crescent dough into 2 rectangles; press perforation to seal. Cut into 4 long strips and 4 short strips. Arrange strips in lattice design across top of casserole. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

    Bake at 350* for 35 minutes. Enjoy!
