This is great served over pasta with a spinach salad on the side. ETA Now that I only cook for myself, I find that cutting the chicken in chunks works well, is easier to eat, and makes me feel like I've got more chicken than I do. lol.

Ingredients For italian chicken with mushrooms

  • 4
    skinless boneless chicken breasts
  • 1
    envelope italian salad dressing mix
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1 8-oz pkg
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 10-oz can
    cream of mushrooms soup
  • 1 4-oz can
    mushroom pieces, drained

How To Make italian chicken with mushrooms

    Place chicken in greased 3 1/2 to 5-quart slow cooker.

    Combine salad dressing mix and water; pour over chicken. Cover and cook on high heat 3 hours.

    In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and soup until blended. Stir in mushrooms. Pour over chicken.

    Cook 2 hours longer on high heat, or until chicken juices run clear.
