Using a pressure cooker to prepare this lemon chicken means you can get a flavor-packed, easy dinner on the table in an instant. Browning the chicken seals in the juices and adds flavor. They're cooked in chicken broth, chopped onions, garlic, Italian seasonings, and lemon juice. The pressure cooker helps to infuse those flavors into the chicken breasts. Tender and juicy, serve this lemon chicken with rice and a veggie for a tasty meal.

  • 3 lg

  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 tsp
    olive oil
  • 4 Tbsp

How To Make instant pot lemon chicken

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  • Brown the chicken.

    Brown the chicken in olive oil for a few minutes in a cast iron pan. Or, add olive oil to the Instant Pot and press the saute function. Sear the chicken on each side until golden brown; about 3 minutes.
  • Set aside browned chicken.

    Once the chicken is brown, remove it from the pan or pot and set aside.
  • Melt butter in the Instant Pot.

  • Then add onions, garlic, chicken broth, the juice of 1 lemon, Italian seasoning, and chicken.
