Ingredients For hungarian-style chicken paprikash

12 1/2 pound chicken, cut into serving pieces

salt & pepper

2 Tbspdijon mustard

2onions, finely chopped

1/2 stickbutter
-
2 Tbspbrown sugar
-
1/4 cketchup
-
1 tspbetter than bouillon chicken (or chicken stock base of your choice)

1/2 cwhite wine
-
1/2 ctomato sauce
-
2 Tbsppaprika
-
salt & pepper to taste
-
1 csour cream
How To Make hungarian-style chicken paprikash

1Sprinkle chicken, front & back, with salt & pepper. Toss chicken in mustard and coat evenly. Place chicken in a roasting pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from oven.

2Saute onions in butter until tender and translucent in a pan large enough to contain chicken. Add brown sugar and cook until sugar has melted. Add ketchup, stock base, wine, tomato sauce, paprika and s & p. Simmer mixture for approximately 5 minutes.

3Transfer chicken to sauce and simmer 15 minutes. Adjust seasoning. Just before serving, add sour cream and stir until mixed and heated through. Serve chicken with buttered egg noodles, if desired.
