Ingredients For hot chicken salad

  • 2 c
    cooked chicken, cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 c
    diced celery
  • 1 c
    water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 c
    sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1 c
    real mayonnaise
  • 2
    scant tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    grated onion
  • 1 c
    grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 sm
    pkg. potato chips, crushed

How To Make hot chicken salad

  • 1
    Combine chicken, celery, water chestnuts and almonds.
  • 2
    Combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and onion.
  • 3
    Pour mayo mixture over chicken mixture and mix.
  • 4
    Place in a greased 2-quart casserole dish; cover with later of cheese and crushed potato chips.
  • 5
    Bake at 375 degrees for about 20-30 minutes.
