Ingredients For hoisin chicken power bowl

  • SAUCE
  • 1 c
    red currant jelly
  • 1/2 c
    hoisin sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    mirin
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    sambal olek
  • CHICKEN
  • 1 lb
    ground chicken
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 tsp
    ginger grated
  • 8 oz
    shittake mushrooms small dice
  • 1 c
    bean sprouts
  • VEGGIES
  • 1/2
    head red cabbage sliced
  • 1/2 c
    cilantro chopped
  • 1/2 bunch
    scallions chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    hemp seed hearts
  • NOODLES
  • 8 oz
    rice noodles cook according to package directions and drained

How To Make hoisin chicken power bowl

  • 1
    For the sauce. Mix all ingredients together on stove top cook until jelly has dissolved. Set aside.

    Cook the ground chicken with the hoisin sauce, ginger and garlic. When the chicken is almost done add the mushrooms and the bean sprouts. Stir in the sauce mixture.

    Cook the rice noodles and drain
  • 4
    To assemble dish. Place noodles in a bowl. Top with chicken mixture. Top with red cabbage, cilantro, green onions and hemp seed hearts.
