Teriyaki flavor permeates the meat in this simple chicken dinner recipe. When grilled, the chicken has a fantastic smoky, tangy, and sweet flavor. Grilling the pineapple caramelizes the sugars and makes it even sweeter. Sprinkling sesame seeds over the grilled chicken and pineapple make for a beautiful dish. This dinner is so delicious your family will be fighting for leftovers.

Ingredients For grilled teriyaki ginger chicken with pineapples

  • 2-3 lb
    chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 bottle
    teriyaki sauce, divided
  • 1 Tbsp
    freshly grated ginger
  • 1 Tbsp
    toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 Tbsp
    canola oil
  • salt/pepper, to taste
  • 1 c
    fresh pineapples (you can also use canned)

How To Make grilled teriyaki ginger chicken with pineapples

  • Piercing the chicken breast.

    Pierce the chicken breast.
  • Teriyaki sauce, ginger, and seasonings added to a bowl of chicken.

    Marinate at least 30 mins with half of the teriyaki sauce as well as grated ginger, salt, and pepper.
  • Adding the oil and mixing the marinade.

    Add in the canola oil.
  • Grilling the chicken and pineapple.

    Grill chicken about 5 mins each side (depending on the thickness... the thinner, the better). Also grill the pineapples.
  • Placing grilled chicken in a dish.

    Place the chicken in an oven dish.
  • Pouring teriyaki sauce over the chicken.

    Pour the other half of the teriyaki sauce over the chicken.
  • Sprinkling with sesame seeds and placing grilled pineapple around the chicken.

    Top with sesame seeds and grilled pineapples. Keep warm in oven until ready to serve. Serve over white rice. Delicious!
