grilled florida style chicken
(3 ratings)
Love this grilling sauce as it is not a red or tomato-based sauce. It has been a family favorite for generations. Each generation has experimented with the basic sauce to create interesting variations... my personal favorite is to add 1/2 cup of lime juice and 1/2 cup tequila in place of vinegar.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
The vinegar and seasonings combine to make one flavor-packed chicken marinade. We made this just as Elizabeth posted and it's fabulous. Great for a cookout or easy dinner.

2Place in a leak-proof Ziploc gallon bag or covered glass dish. Marinate chicken overnight in the refrigerator.
-
3Grill over hot coals or gas grill turning and brushing chicken with marinade until done. Depending on the size of the chicken it could take about an hour.
