grilled chicken patty
This is one of my dad’s FAVORITE chicken burgers and, trust me, he is a tough cookie when it comes to “ground” chicken or ground turkey. I am not even much of a meat-eater! I could almost be a vegetarian I just haven’t really gone the whole way and done it. I just play around with it and then eat a bit of chicken here and there. Not a fan of turkey but can stomach it around Thanksgiving and in roll-ups and stuff. It’s not like an “Oh, you’re killing the animals” kind of thing, it is just I don’t like it, LOL.

How To Make grilled chicken patty
-
1One day I brought home this Tyson All Natural Ground Chicken and decided I would make a patty out of this chicken and see what I got, well this made all the difference in the WORLD in the taste of my chicken patties! This is the only ground chicken I will use. They also have an Italian Ground Chicken that I tried but I always go back to just the regular "All Natural" Ground Chicken.

2The other tool I use when making the "Grilled" Chicken Patty is of course A GRILL! But I am a single girl and not real fond of firing up a grill every time I want a simple chicken patty. This handy indoor grill has always worked out best for me, but I am sure any indoor grill will work out just fine, but grilling is the key to these little jewels. I tried baking and frying blah blah...but always went back to grilling.
-
3Preheat an outdoor/indoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil grate (if needed).
-
4Lightly spray a saute pan with cooking or oil spray over medium heat. Saute the onion with the garlic first, then the bell pepper, then the mushrooms, and carrots, all to desired tenderness. Set aside and allow all vegetables to cool completely.
-
5In a large bowl, combine the chicken and vegetables. Add the egg, bread crumbs, and seasonings to taste.
-
6Mix all together well and form into 6-9 patties (depending on how thick you would like your patties).
-
7Grill over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness. ENJOY!
