general tso's chicken
This is my favorite Chinese style dish EVER! I think it must be a lot of people's favorite since it is the most ordered Chinese dish in the US.

Ingredients For general tso's chicken

2 Tbspcorn starch
-
3/4 cchicken broth, chilled

1/4 csoy sauce
-
1 tspminced ginger
-
3/4 csugar
-
2 Tbsprice vinegar
-
2 Tbspdry sherry
-
1 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 tspred pepper flakes
-
2 lbboneless, skinless thighs, cut into bite-size pieces

1/4 csoy sauce
-
1egg
-
1 tspgarlic powder
-
1 cflour
-
oil for deep frying

1 bunchsliced green onions
How To Make general tso's chicken

1Heat oil in a deep wok or deep fryer such as a fry Daddy/Grandpappy. (I love my Grandpappy!)

2To make Sauce, mix 1/4 cup cornstarch and chicken broth together. Add garlic , ginger, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, and wine. Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture is thickened. Set aside.

3In separate bowl mix chicken, soy sauce and garlic powder. Stir in egg, toss chicken to coat.

4Dip chicken in flour until chicken is coated evenly.

5Divide chicken in small batches and deep-fry at 350 until crispy and light brown. Drain on wire rack.

6Toss chicken with sauce.

7Plate and garnish with green onion.
