I love General Tso Chicken, and when I found this recipe online I had to save it...of course, I am the only one in my household who will eat this, so I may have lots of leftovers! :)

Ingredients For general tso chicken

2 cups jasmine rice (gold star) dry prepared as package indicates

3.5 to 4 lb popcorn chicken or chicken tenders

2 14 oz can chicken stock

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup rice wine vinegar

1/3 cup hoisin sauce (sell in asian section at krogers paste type in jar)

1/4 cip sriracha sauce

1/4 cup sesame oil
-
1/2 cup sugar
-
4 tsp fresh ginger, minced

4 teaspoon cloves garlic, minced
-
2-4 small japone peppers (optional sell them in the bags at wal-mart in produce section)

1/2 cup cornstarch mixed with 3/4 cup of cold water to dissolve stir really well

2 teaspoons parsley (optional i like it for color and taste)

3 green onions, white and green parts, cut into half inch chunks (optional_
How To Make general tso chicken

11. Preheat oven to bagged chicken specifications 2. Prepare rice (2 cups dry) according to package direction... I like goldstar jasmine rice 3. When oven is preheated bake 2 bags popcorn chicken according to package directions while baking start sauce 4. In a small pan on med high heat, combine chicken stock, soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin, Sriracha, sesame oil, sugar, ginger, garlic, japones, and parsley 5. dissolve corn starch in water (in cup) and pour into mix stir until thickening occurs. turn heat to low 6. after all is done add rice, chicken the sauce 7. Top with green onion

2Tips Serve over Jasmine White Rice japones are optional and when in season I use fresh cayenne peppers (will make it VERY hot) I would rate this about a 6.5 on hot scale. IF you have kids you may want to cut the ginger, sriracha, no red pepper flakes or very few, 1/2 garlic
