These fried chicken strips are delectable! The coating is golden brown while the inside stays tender and juicy. Double dredging gives the chicken a very crispy crust. The spices are subtle and add just the right amount of flavor. Serve with honey mustard and french fries... we bet your family will think these are way better than what you'll get at a restaurant.

Ingredients For fried chicken strips

  • 2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • 3
    eggs
  • 2 c
    buttermilk

How To Make fried chicken strips

  • Flour and spices in a bowl.

    Mix the first 5 ingredients in a large dish (flour and spices).
  • Buttermilk and egg in a dish.

    Mix egg and buttermilk in another large dish.
  • Chicken breasts cut into strips.

    Cut up 3 or 4 boneless chicken breasts into strips.
  • Dipping chicken in the egg.

    Dip them in the egg mixture first, let the excess drain off.
  • Coating chicken in flour.

    Then coat thoroughly in the flour mixture.
  • Dipping back into the egg.

    Second dredge - back to the egg mixture.
  • Dipping back into the flour.

  • Frying the chicken.

    Deep fry at 350 for 6-7 minutes.
