Ingredients For forty - clove chicken

1( 3 pounds) frying chicken, or 4 -6 skin on chicken breasts

40 clovefresh garlic, peeled and left whole

1/2 cdry white wine
-
1/4 cdry vermouth
-
1/4 colive oil
-
4ribs celery, thickly sliced

2 Tbspfinely chopped parsley
-
2 tspdried basil
-
1 tspdried oregano
-
pinch of crushed red pepper
-
1lemon
-
salt and pepper to taste
How To Make forty - clove chicken

1Preheat oven to 375 F. Place chicken pieces, skin side up, in a single layer in shallow baking pan. Combine garlic, wine, vermouth, oil, celery, parsley, basil, oregano, and red pepper in medium sized bowl; mix thoroughly. Sprinkle garlic mixture over chicken pieces.

2Remove peel from lemon in thin strips; place peel throughout pan. Season with salt and pepper. Cover pan with foil. Bake 40 - 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes.
