easy chicken pot pie

I was at the Dollar General Store one day looking to buy some soup, when I came across this recipe for Easy Chicken Pot Pie. This really makes a delicious pie. It calls for frozen vegetables, but I've used canned mixed vegetables and it works out just fine.

Ingredients For easy chicken pot pie

  • 1
    can campbell's condensed cream of potato soup
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 2 c
    thawed frozen mixed vegetables or a can of mixed vegetables , drained( 1 used a 15 ounce can)

    4.5 oz. cans of chicken breast in water, drained
  • 1
    egg, lightly beatened
  • 1 c
    all purpose baking mix (i prefer bisquick)

How To Make easy chicken pot pie

  • 1
    Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • 2
    Stir soup, 1/2 cup milk, black pepper, vegetables and chicken in 10" pie plate or 2-qt. baking dish. (I have used both types and each one works equally well.)

    Stir remaining milk, egg and baking mix in small bowl.
  • This is how it looks right before you put it in the oven.

    Spread batter over chicken mixture.

    Bake 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
