These wrapped up dogs are in a dilly grilled blanket of cheese dough that's cuddled up with a strip of precooked bacon.

Ingredients For dilly bacon pups

  • 2 c
    bisquick
  • 1/2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tsp
    dill weed
  • 1/2 c
    cold water
  • 10
    hotdogs
  • 10 slice
    store precooked bacon

How To Make dilly bacon pups

  • 1
    Stir baking mix, cheese, dill weed, and water to a soft dough. Divide dough into 10 equal parts. Pat each piece of dough around a towel dried hotdog, making a thin coating. Wrap a bacon slice around dough, securing ends with tooth picks. Place on a sprayed baking sheet and bake at 400^ for 8 minutes then turn and bake for about 7 more minutes or until bacon is crisp and biscuit cooked. Place a skewer in end of hotdog for easy handling.

    These can also be placed on the grill in nice weather . Place on grill 4 inches from hot coals; cook, turning frequently, 15 minutes or until done as above.
