This recipe comes from my mom. I wouldn't even attempt to make chicken and dressing until this recipe came along! So good and so easy! My picky boys request this dish anytime of the year.

Ingredients For crockpot dressing

18 inch pan of cornbread

8slices of day old bread

4eggs
-
1medium onion (chopped)

1/2 ccelery (chopped)

1 1/2 Tbspsage or poultry seasoning

1 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspblack pepper
-
2 cancream of chicken soup
-
2 canchicken broth
-
2 Tbspbutter or margarine
- IF YOU WANT TO ADD CHICKEN....

2-3cups of cooked chicken (cubed) or use canned chicken
How To Make crockpot dressing

1Crumble breads, add all other ingredients except butter. (You may want to cook the celery and onions to just tender before adding to other ingredients, My mom pops them into the microwave for a minute or two.)

2Spray crockpot with cooking spray. Pour mixture into crockpot and cover.

3Cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 3 to 4 hours.

4Stir in cooked chicken about an hour before dressing is finished cooking.
