Baked chicken is my favorite comfort food, so I created a new baked chicken recipe with the addition of honey margarine, making it creamy and delicious.

Ingredients For creamy honey margarine baked chicken

  • 1 c
    margarine
  • 3/4 c
    honey
  • 8 lg
    fresh chicken thighs, skin on
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    dried thyme
  • ` tsp
    dried rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp
    poultry seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp
    sea salt mixed with black pepper
  • 3/4 c
    chicken broth
  • 3/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 4 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 3 Tbsp
    Dijon mustard mixed with brown sugar

How To Make creamy honey margarine baked chicken

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

    Whisk the margarine and honey together in a small bowl until combined. Set aside.

    Pat dry the chicken thighs with a kitchen towel.

    In a large bowl, combine the garlic powder, thyme, rosemary, poultry seasoning and sea salt/black pepper; mix well.

    Add the chicken thighs and toss for 3 minutes until coated. Stir in 3 tablespoons honey margarine.

    Pour the chicken broth into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Arrange the chicken thighs in a single layer.

    Bake for 20 minutes.

    Remove the baking dish from the oven, baste the chicken thighs with the pan juice. Transfer the chicken thighs from the baking dish to a large plate.

    To the pan juice in the baking dish, add the heavy cream, 2 tablespoons honey margarine, cream cheese and Dijon mustard/brown sugar. Mix well.

    Put the baked chicken thighs back to the baking dish in a single layer. Bake for another 20 minutes.

    Cool for 5 minutes. Spread remaining honey margarine on both baked chicken thighs.
