~ creamy chicken noodle skillet ~

A quick and tasty one skillet meal I had on the table in 25 minutes. I had the chicken already cooked. Prep the night before and it can be on the table in 15 minutes tops. Leftover rotisserie chicken would be great for this dish, to subtract even more time on a busy schedule. Enjoy!

Ingredients For ~ creamy chicken noodle skillet ~

  • 2 1/2 c
    egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 2 c
    cooked, cubed chicken
  • 1 c
    mixed vegetables, thawed and par cooked in water, drain
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    each - chopped onion & chopped celery
  • 3/4 Tbsp
    minced garlic - i used jarred this time
  • 3 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 tsp
    chicken bullion powder or paste
  • 1/4 tsp
    bells - poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic salt
  • salt
    & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp
    parsley paste
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1
    egg

How To Make ~ creamy chicken noodle skillet ~

    Cook noodles and drain

    In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and cook the onions, celery and garlic until tender. About 3 minutes.

    In a bowl, whisk together the flour, egg and milk and set aside Add the broth and seasonings and bring to a boil. Once boiling add the noodles, chicken and vegetables and return to a boil.

    Slowly stir in the flour mixture and bring to a boil and stir until thickened. Taste and add more seasoning if needed.

    Serve immediately. ** Turkey and other vegetables can be used in place of the chicken and mixed vegetables.
