Ingredients For country style chicken and noodles

  • 1 pkg
    (8 oz.) egg noodles
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1/3 c
    flour
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    chicken stock
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 can
    mushroom stems & pieces, drained
  • 2
    boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces, or a rotisserie chicken, skin removed and pulled
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/4 c
    fresh, grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh, chopped parsley

How To Make country style chicken and noodles

    Cook noodles according to package directions.
  • 2
    Meanwhile, in a deep skillet, heat olive oil and saute chicken until cooked. Remove from pan, set aside. (Skip this step if using pulled rotisserie chicken)

    Return pan to stove and heat butter in pan, blend in flour with a wire whisk until smooth. Add broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Add salt & pepper.

    Add mushrooms, noodles and chicken to sauce, stir until well combined and warmed through.

    Plate and top with Parmesan cheese and fresh chopped parsley.
