HFCS-Free! This recipe was created completely by our son, Christopher when he was 6 years old! I helped him with the cutting and being near the stove, but he told me what ingredients and seasonings to add. This one is delicious!

Ingredients For christopher's tomato stew

  • 5
    plum tomatoes, halved then sliced thick
  • 2 c
    chicken, cooked, cut up (great way to use leftover chicken, too!)
  • 1 Tbsp
    italian seasoning (oregano, basil, rosemary, marjoram, thyme, savory & sage)
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 3/4 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • cooked rice

How To Make christopher's tomato stew

  • 1
    Put olive oil and butter in pan with the cut up tomatoes.

    Add seasonings, then add the cut up chicken.

    Simmer until heated through and tomatoes soften.

    Add shredded cheese and simmer until cheese is melted.

    Serve over rice.
