I love to keep flavored butters in the freezer for using on fish, meats, and vegetables. I found this recipe not long ago and was able to make it up because my chives are doing extra well this year.

Ingredients For chive butter

1 stickunsalted butter

4 Tbspchives, chopped

1 Tbsplime or lemon juice

1/4 tspsea salt

1/8 tsppepper

1 tspgarlic, minced
How To Make chive butter

1Set butter out and let soften.

2Add all ingredients and mix well.

3Place on a sheet of wax paper and shape into a roll. Place the roll on a sheet of foil and store in refrigerator or freeze. Cut off a slice to add to your dish.

4For the recipe I used 2 sticks of butter and doubled the other ingredients.
