I'm not sure where this recipe originated, but I got it from my mom years ago. This dish is great for potluck or just for your own dinner. You can used canned chicken and/or packaged cole slaw mix. It keeps in the refrigerator quite well. Just the right blend of tart and sweet. My entire family loves it.

Ingredients For chinese chicken salad

    head of cabbage, shredded
  • 3 - 4
    cooked chicken breasts, boned and shredded
  • 2 pkg
    ramen noodles, oriental flavor; broken
  • 4 Tbsp
    chopped green onion
  • 1 c
    slivered almonds
  • sauce:
  • 4 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 6 Tbsp
    white wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp
    mixed salt & pepper
  • 1
    flavor packet from noodles

    Mix above ingredients; toss with sauce and chill.
