So now you don't have to go out to eat to get a good Chimichanga.

Ingredients For chimichangas

  • 1 sm
    chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil
  • 3 clove
    minced garlic
  • 2 c
    salsa
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • pinch
    salt
  • 2 1/2 c
    cooked shredded chicken or turkey
  • 8
    12" flour tortillas
  • 1 c
    refried beans

How To Make chimichangas

  • 1
    Saute onion and garlic until tender, add salsa, chili powder, cumin, cinnamon and salt. Fold in chicken, remove from heat and set aside. Spoon 2 T beans down center of each tortilla, top with scant 1/2 c chicken m ixture. Fold top and bottom, then roll. Secure with wooden toothpicks if necessary. Place in 9x13 seam down. Bake at 450 degrees 20-25 min or until golden brown and crisp, turning and respraying pan after 10 min.
