Ingredients For chicken with sour cream gravy

  • 4 to 6
    chicken breasts, boneless & skinless
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 c
    sprite or any clear soda
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/4 c
    minced onion (i used vadalia onion)
  • 1 c
    sour cream

How To Make chicken with sour cream gravy

    In a skillet, melt butter. Salt and pepper the chicken and then brown them in the skillet over medium heat about 8 minutes on each side.

    Combine the remaining ingredients except the sour cream and pour this mixture over the chicken. Cover and cook 20 to 30 minutes on medium low until chicken is tender.

    Remove the chicken from the skillet and blend the sour cream into the gravy until it's smooth. Return chicken to the skillet and keep warm until ready to serve.
