2/3 cplum sauce or sweet and sour sauce

1/4 choisin sauce

2 Tbspsoy sauce

2 Tbsphoney

2 Tbspwater

1 1/2 tspsesame seeds

1 clovegarlic, minced

1 tspfresh ginger, grated

3/4 tsporiental chili sauce or bottled hot sauce

1/4 tsp5-spice powder

2 1/2 - 3 lbchicken, cut into serving pieces
How To Make chicken with asian-style bbq sauce

1For the sauce: Combine all ingredients (except chicken) in a small saucepan over medium heat until bubbly - stir frequently. Reduce heat and cover - simmer another 5 minutes and then set aside.

2Remove skin from chicken, if preferred. Place chicken, meat side down, on grill over medium heat. Grill for 20 minutes. Turn chicken and grill for 20-30 minutes more or until 170 degrees (breasts) and 180 (thighs). Remove some sauce for basting and baste chicken during the last 10 minutes.

3Transfer chicken to a serving platter. Heat remaining sauce and serve on the side.
