This is also a good recipe for chicken breast or boneless chicken thighs. The chicken takes less time. The Anchovy paste gives this dish umami flavor that really works with the chicken.

Ingredients For chicken with anchovie paste

  • 1/3 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 4
    chicken thighs
  • 2 Tbsp
    anchovy paste
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1
    large lemon juiced

How To Make chicken with anchovie paste

    Combine the flour with the salt and garlic powder in a shallow dish
  • 2
    Take 1 tbsp of the Anchovy paste and rub a little under the skin of each piece of chicken then do the same on the bottom of the chicken thighs. Roll in the flour shaking off excess.

    Heat the butter and the oil in a large skillet. Add the chicken and cook turning frequently until no longer pink in the middle. Remove to a plate. Add the lemon juice and scrap up the bottom of the pan. Add the remaining tbsp of Anchovy paste and stir until melted. Add the chicken back in the pan and cook until warmed up. Serve immediately with the sauce overtop
