My absolute FAVORITE indian dish! Tried this recipe and stuck with it! Sooo yummy on cold or hot days! If you don't like too much spice, omit the jalapeno. Also, serve with Jasmine rice, and Naan (indian flat bread)which is easy to find at stores!

Ingredients For chicken tikka masala

1 cyogurt, plain

1 Tbsplemon juice, fresh

4 tspcumin

1 tspcinnamon

2 tspcayenne pepper

2 tspblack pepper

1 Tbspginger, minced

3boneless, skinnless chicken breasts, cut into bite sized pieces.

1 Tbspbutter

1 clovegarlic, minced

1/2jalapeno peppers, finely chopped and seeded

2 tsppaprika
-
1- 8oz. cantomato sauce
-
1 cheavy cream
-
1/4 cchopped cilantro

salt to taste
How To Make chicken tikka masala

1In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, 2 tsp cumin, cinnamon, cayenne, black pepper, ginger and salt. Stir in chicken pieces, cover and refrigerate for approximately 1 hour.

2Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers and discard marinade. Bake in oven for 20 minutes. (Chicken will finish off on the stovetop.)

3Meanwhile, melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute garlic and jalapeno for 1 minute. Season with 2 tsp cumin, paprila and salt. Stir in tomato sauce and cream. Simmer on low hear until sauce thickens, about 20 minutes. Add chicken and simmer for another 10 minutes. Garnish with cilantro.
