THIS IS ONE OF MY VERY FIRST RECIPES I CREATED SOME 35 YRS AGO... STILL COMIN UP WITH NEW IDEAS...

Ingredients For chicken stroganoff
-
1 1/4 lbchicken breast tenders... cut in bite size pieces

1/3 cboth stick butter and conola oil
-
8 oz3-5 different kinds of fresh and/or wild mushrooms
-
1 mdyellow onion... chopped

clovegarlic ... to taste
-
1 1/3 cmixed red and green bell peppers... chopped

2 tspdried celery leaves ... crushed
-
24 ozfat free 1% cottage cheese
-
1 Tbspdried chives
-
milk... as needed
-
1/2 lbegg noodles... cooked
How To Make chicken stroganoff

1in large fry pan heat butter an oil while that heats up chop all mushrooms an mix together in lg bowl....

2once oil/butter is hot[ when drop of water "jumps" when put in pan] add chicken pieces... may need to do 2-3 batches while chicken browns... chop onions,peppers,and garlic

3once all meat is browned... add onions,peppers,garlic... cook an stir til onion limp.. remove from pan

4divid mushrooms into 3-4 batches an cook add more butter/oil if needed

5cook noodles by pkg directions drain well cover set aside

6while mushrooms cook... take cottage cheese celery leaves,and chive an put in food processor.....mix til smooth an creamy... drizzle some milk into it if to thick[ most times is bout 1/4 c milk i add]

7once last batch mushrooms cooked mix chicken with veggies,all the mushrooms,cottage cheese mix in a lg bowl stir...spray 2 9x11 glass pans.... divid mixture into both pans...cover with foil.....

8bake at 350 for 45 -50 min remove foil bake 5 min more let rest 10 min before slicing an seving with sprinkle of chives on top of each serving
