Ingredients For chicken stew

2 1/2 lbcut-up chicken

3 Tbspolive oil

2 mdonions, sliced

1 tspsalt

1/2 tspfresh ground pepper

2 stalkcelery, diced
-
2 cpotatoes, peeled and diced

1 cripe tomatoes, chopped

1 tsporegano
-
3 Tbspchopped parsley
-
1 cfrozen peas, thawed

2 cchicken broth (or may use tomato juice or v-8)
How To Make chicken stew

1In a large skillet, brown the chicken in oil. Add salt, pepper and onions. Cook for another 5 minutes.

2Place the celery and potatoes in the bottom of a slow cooker and top with browned chicken, onions, tomatoes, chicken broth, oregano and parsley.

3Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Add the thawed peas, cover and cook on high for an additional 15 minutes.
