Ingredients For chicken salad sandwich with havarti cheese

  • 1/4 c
    dairy sour cream
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    red curry paste,optional
  • 1 tsp
    fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 c
    cooked chicken, diced small
  • 1/4 c
    sweet onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 c
    green apple, diced small
  • 1/4 c
    sliced almonds
  • salt and pepper to taste

    croissants
  • 6
    leaves of boston or butter lettuce
  • 4 oz
    wisconsin havarti, sliced or dill havarti (my favorite)

How To Make chicken salad sandwich with havarti cheese

    In a medium bowl, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, curry paste and basil until well blended. Add chicken, onion, apple and almonds; season with salt and pepper; mix well . Refrigerate until ready to use. Split croissants. Place lettuce, chicken salad and Havarti cheese on the bottom half of croissant. Place second half on top. Enjoy!!
