These are the cutest, yummiest little things. I serve them as appetizers at just about any event, and they go over wonderfully.

Ingredients For chicken purses.

  • 1 pkg
    refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 c
    cooked, chopped chicken
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, divided
  • 1 Tbsp
    milk
  • 3 oz
    reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp
    each salt and pepper
  • 2/3 c
    bread crumbs, seasoned

How To Make chicken purses.

    Heat oven to 350. Lightly spray a lg cookie sheet w/ cooking spray. Divide rolls into 4 squares, seal perforations.

    In bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 tbsp butter. Stir in milk, chicken, salt and pepper. Place about 1/2 cup mix in center of each square.

    Bring corners of squares together to form a purse, twisting corners to seal. Place purses on baking sheet. Melt 2 tbsp butter and brush over purses. Sprinkle heavily w/ bread crumbs. Bake 15-20 min, or until golden brown.
