This recipe is simple but yet a very good chicken pie I serve a tossed salad or a lettuce, tomato, onion and mayonnaise salad with it. This is usually a dish I serve on a church night because it is so quick and easy.

Ingredients For chicken pie

  • 2 can
    veg-all mixed vegetables- drain 1 can
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can
    cream of celery soup
  • 1 can
    chicken broth, i usually use the broth that i boil the chicken in and 1 soup can of broth
  • 2-3
    chicken breast, or chicken of your choice
  • 1 stick
    butter or margarine melted
  • 1 c
    buttermilk
  • 1 c
    self-rising flour
  • salt & pepper to taste

How To Make chicken pie

    Mix the veg all cream of soups chicken broth and chicken and salt and pepper in a bowl. Pour in a 9x13" glass dish that has been sprayed with Pam.

    For crust: Mix the melted butter, the buttermilk and the flour in a bowl and after blended well spoon over the veg mixture and place in a 350 degree oven and cook till the crust is browned and the mixture is bubbly. About 45 minutes or so. Just ever how brown you like the crust.
