You can after browning chicken for 10 minutes remove the chicken and place on a cookie sheet and then put in the oven and bake for about another 40 minutes at 350 degress. Then check it just to make sure its done. You can also have french bread on the side.

12pieces of chicken, disjointed

48 ozsour cream (3- 16 ounces)

1Dumplings: Mix. Scrape bits from a plate into boiling water or use dumpling maker. Cook 15 minutes, rinse with cold water and drain. This can be made the day before hand if needed...

2Chicken Paprikas: Brown Onion in shortening, add seasoing(paprika and salt) and 3-4 pieces of chicken. Brown 10 minutes, add broth cover and simmer slowly until tender. Remove chicken. Add sour cream(1-16 ounce) to drippings and mix well. Add to dumplings in another pot until you make all the gravy. Then arrange chicken on top.
