6whole chicken breasts

1 clovegarlic

salt, pepper, paprika

2 tsplemon juice

1/2 cbutter

1/2 cwhite wine

1 lbsliced mushrooms

1 tspsugar

1/2 tspginger

20sliced green olives

20sliced pitted black olives

1 1/2-2 cchicken stock

1 csour cream
How To Make chicken marengo, ma

1Clean and dry chicken. Rub with garlic, salt, pepper and paprika and lemon juice. Dust with flour. Heat butter and brown chicken, As pieces are browned, remove and place in large baking dish or roaster. When all browned, stir in enough flour to make a roux, about equal flour to amount of fat in skillet. Add 1 1/2 cu chicken stock and make a gravy. Add remaining ingredients and remove from heat, adding wine last. Ladle gravy over chicken pieces. Bake at 350 until tender, basting from time to time with chicken stock or win. Five min before removing from oven, pour over chicken 1 c sour cream; arrange chicken on platter and spoon gravy over it.
