This casserole is so good. It is my husbands favorite. (Probably due to all the butter) ;)

Ingredients For chicken louisiana

  • 1
    chicken-fryer
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 can
    green chiles
  • 1 c
    grated cheese
  • 1 c
    macaroni, dry
  • 1 sm
    onion (chopped)
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup

How To Make chicken louisiana

    Boil chicken and bone. Cook macaroni in chicken broth.

    Saute onion in butter.
  • 3
    Combine chicken, macaroni, sauteed onion, green chile, mushroom soup and cheese. Mix together well.

    Place in 8x12-inch pan and bake @ 350 for 1 hour. Enjoy!

    *Side Note - I use boneless chicken breasts and boil them in chicken broth to save time. Also, I cover this dish in foil to bake.
