    flour
  • salt and pepper

    olive oil

    onion, sliced
  • 10 oz
    cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 c
    chicken stock
  • 1/2 c
    heavy cream

How To Make chicken leg quarters in mushroom onion sauce

    Mix the flour with the salt and pepper. Dredge the chicken in the flour. Add the oil to a skillet and brown the chicken on one side for 4 minutes. Turn the chicken and brown for another 4 minutes.

    Remove the chicken to a plate and set aside. Add the onion and mushrooms to the pan. Season with salt. Cook until the mushrooms have let out their moisture. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute. Add the chicken stock to the pan. Add the chicken back to the pan.

    Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes. Remove the chicken again to a plate. Bring the sauce to a boil and let simmer until reduce by 1/3, about 5 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream. Simmer 2 more minutes.
