  • 3
    whole frying chicken, cut up
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 2 clove
    garlic, diced
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 tsp
    italian seasoning or oregano
  • 1 jar
    sliced pimientos
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 c
    tomato juice
  • 1/2 c
    sherry
  • 1 lb
    sliced mushrooms

How To Make chicken italian, mom

  • 1
    Brown chicken in butter, sprinkle with all ingredients except mushrooms, and cover with tomato juice mixed with sherry. Cover pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Turn chicken occasionally. Add mushrooms and more juice mixed with sherry if you desire more sauce. Serve with cooked green noodles. Can be baked the day before and reheated for 45 min before serving.
