Ingredients For chicken in lemon cream with penne

  • 1 lb
    penne pasta
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2
    chicken breasts , diced 1 inch cubes
  • 1 tsp
    herbes de provence
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 c
    chicken broth
  • 2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1
    lemon, zest grated
  • pinch
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 c
    oregano, fresh, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice, fresh

How To Make chicken in lemon cream with penne

    1. Boil pasta for 8 to 10 minutes. Drain. 2.Season chicken breasts with herbes de provence and a pinch of salt and pepper. 3.Cook in olive oil until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Set chicken aside. pour off excess oil from pan.

    4.In same pan add broth and cook over medium high heat, scrapping browned bits from bottom of pan. 5. Add cream, lemon zest and cayenne. Reduce heat to med-low and simmer 10 minutes.

    6. Add pasta, remaining salt and pepper, oregano and lemon juice. Toss to coat chicken with sauce and serve.
