    boneless chicken thighs cut into pieces
  • DISH
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 4 stalk
    scallions chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    shaoxing wine
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    hoisin sauce
  • cooked noodles or rice for serving
  • crushed peanuts for topping

How To Make chicken in hoisin sauce gravy

    Mix the ingredients for the marinade together. Add the chicken pieces and let marinate for 2 hours. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place in a strainer. Don't rinse just let it drain for about 10 minutes.

    Heat the oil in a wok. Add the garlic and scallions. Stir fry about 30 seconds at the chicken about 4 minutes. Splash in the wine and let most evaporate. Stir in the hoisin sauce and brown sugar. Let cook about 5 more minutes.
