Ingredients For chicken in beer sauce

  • 2
    boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • salt and pepper
  • paprika
  • thyme
  • olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2
    red onion, sliced
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 12 oz
    beer
  • 3 Tbsp
    honey
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    whole grain mustard

How To Make chicken in beer sauce

    Score the chicken in a diamond pattern, being careful not to cut all the way through. Season with the salt, pepper, paprika and thyme. Rub on the chicken with a little olive oil.

    Place the olive oil and butter in a sauce pan. Brown the chicken on both sides and remove to a plate. Add the red onion and garlic and saute for 5 minutes. Add the beer, honey, soy and mustard and mix well. Bring to a boil and let reduce 5 minutes.

    Add the chicken back in and cover and cook about 5 to 7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through. Serve topped with the sauce.
