Ingredients For chicken cordon bleu pasta casserole

  • 3 c
    uncooked macaroni or pasta of your choice
  • 2 c
    heavy cream
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • 2 c
    shredded swiss cheese, divided
  • 2 tsp
    butter
  • 1/4 c
    onion, chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 c
    cooked chicken breast, cubed
  • 3/4 c
    cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 3/4 c
    cooked ham, cubed
  • 3 Tbsp
    panko bread crumbs

How To Make chicken cordon bleu pasta casserole

    Cook macaroni according to package directions to al dente; drain.

    In a large saucepan, melt 2 tsp. butter over medium heat; add onion and garlic. Saute and stir for 2-3 minutes. Add the cream and the cream cheese, stirring until smooth. Add salt, pepper and 1 cup swiss cheese. Stir until blended.

    In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, bacon, ham and pasta. Add the sauce and toss to coat.

    Pour mixture into a greased 9x13" baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bread crumbs. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350-degree oven for about 20 minutes or until heated through and bubbly. Serve with a green salad and crusty bread.
