How To Make chicken cordon bleu
-
1Preheat oven to 350.
-
2Pound chicken thighs flat. Place 1 slice of cheese and 1 slice of ham on each thigh and roll. Secure in place with a toothpick.
-
3Combine parmesan and Italian seasoning in a bowl. Roll each thigh, coating on all sides.
-
4Heat ghee in a pan over medium-high heat. When hot, place chicken rolls in the skillet and cook until browned, about 4 minutes. Turn the roll and cook another 2 minutes, continue turning and cooking 2 minutes until the entire roll is browned.
-
5Put the rolls in a lightly sprayed baking dish and bake for 15 minutes (or until heath thermometer reads 165 degrees). Note: When I'm in a hurry (or just want fewer dishes to clean), I skip the baking dish and use a cast iron pan for both the stop top cooking and the baking. If you want that extra crispy beautifully golden brown look use a non-stick pan and then transfer to a backing dish.
