Ingredients For chicken chow mein

  • 10 stick
    celery ribs sliced
  • 1 Tbsp
    canola oil
  • 1 c
    bean sprouts
  • 4oz can
    mushroom sliced drained
  • 7oz can
    water chestnuts drained
  • 2 c
    cooked chicken shredded
  • 3 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 10oz can
    chicken broth, condensed
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce

How To Make chicken chow mein

  • 1
    In a large pot, saute celery in oil for about 5 minutes or until crisp-tender.

    Add bean sprouts, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and chicken.

    In a large bowl, blend cornstarch with water. When smooth, add chicken broth and soy sauce to bowl. Mix well and pour over meat and vegetables.

    Bring to a boil, stirring until sauce thickens.

    Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
