This was my grandmother's recipe that I tweaked just a little, & my picky daughters love it.

Ingredients For chicken casserole

  • about 3
    chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 lg
    can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 16 oz
    container of sour cream
  • 1 lg
    can veg-all or mixed vegetables
  • 1 stick
    of butter
  • 2
    sleeves of ritz crackers
  • shredded cheese to taste is optional

How To Make chicken casserole

    Preheat oven to 400.Wash chicken & put on to boil,when done shred or pull apart.

    in a bowl mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream & mixed vegetables together mix in chicken when done & pulled apart
  • 3
    crush crackers (great job for kids), melt stick of butter (in bowl in microwave about 30seconds) in 13 by 9 dish put 1 sleeve of crackers & 1/2 butter mix around & spread over bottom of pan
  • 4
    pour chicken & soup mixture over crackers, mix remaining crackers & butter & put over top. Bake about 30 minutes or until crackers start turning brown
